Terms of use

Effective From: 20th March 2023

1. Please note that by using our service and underlying platform hosting it, you understand and agree the Dapp, protocol, software and all contents are provided on an “as is” basis. We have done reasonable efforts, research and testing to ensure the underlying software and platform are secure and functional.
2. BeamFi does not give any warranties or representation of any kind, whether express or implied regarding the service’s suitability. BeamFi will not be liable for any loss or damage, whether such loss is direct, indirect, special or consequential, suffered by any party due to their use of BeamFi service and underlying software.
3. BeamFi is an Beta Release Dapp. While the BeamFi team will do everything we can to keep it stable, it is still in active development. From time to time, the Smart Contract Canisters running BeamFi Dapp will undergo upgrades and/or may stop in order to facilitate bug fixing, security updates or to prevent malicious acts. While loss of data is extremely unlikely, it is still possible at beta stage. We alert users to exercise precautions when using the Dapp.
4. As BeamFi continues to grow and reach a higher level of maturity and diversity, the Content Fly team will work towards transitioning the Dapp to an Open Internet Service with a fully community-owned governance system.
5. By using the BeamFi Dapp, you agree to not use it for illegal activity or to produce offensive content. As BeamFi is in beta release stage, a full content moderation system is not fully in-place.
6. BeamFi collects certain information about you when creating Beam Link e.g Zoom Meeting ID and password for functional purpose and notifications. We will never share or sell your data to a third party. The backend Canister smart contracts are all operated in Dfinity Internet Computer Blockchain mainnet directly. 7. BeamFi uses Splitbee for web analytics to improve the functions of our app. Splitbee will never sells or shares data to 3rd party. More information is available at https://splitbee.io/compare/splitbee-vs-google-analytics.
8. BeamFi at the beta stage doesn't charge users for the use of the service. That may change in the future. We will notify users in the web app UI when this happens. However, there is a system imposed token transfer fee from third party during the deposit or claiming of supported tokens. ICP token charges 0.0001 ICP for each transaction. WTC token charges 0.002 WTC for each transaction. To minimise the transfer fees, it is recommended to claim the tokens after the streaming process has been completed so that a user only needs to pay for one transaction.
9. BeamFi Dapp is integrated with Plug Wallet for users to deposit, claim token and connect to BeamFi Dapp. There is no separate user signup process.
10. From time to time, we make changes to these Terms to reflect the new functions in BeamFi. Any modifications, additions or deletions will be effective immediately after it is posted online at its main app domain https://beamfi.app. By continuing using the BeamFi Dapp, you agreed to the new Terms.
